martha and roxanneThoughts off the top of my head

I was telling my best friend that I was thinking about sharing through blogging (whoever came up with that ugly sounding name?). We started throwing out ideas and laughing and somehow we started talking about friendship. What is the definition of a friend? There are all kinds of wonderful poems and definitions of friendship, but we came up with ours and I thought I’d share it with you.

A friend has to:

  1. Be a good listener (so you can dump the uglies and help you celebrate the good)
  2. Make you laugh (anyone can make you smile. A friend has you belly laughing)
  3. Be a guinea pig (to try out those new things and to think outside of the box)

After knowing each other for 40 years, after all is said and done, this is what we do for each other. Think about your friends…really think about it. It all distills down to these 3 things, at least for me. Let me know if you come up with other ideas, but I’ll bet I can make it a sub-category of these 3.

So after laughing and throwing out ideas I think I have come up with what to write every few weeks or months. I’ll draw an Angel Card or Medicine Card and write about whatever comes up for me. I hope you’ll (I’ll) enjoy that idea and I’m sure I’ll come up with other things, too.

I do hope Eden Revisited can bless you with our classes, meditations, and CDs. It’s the beginning of the Holiday Season, and our CDs and those of my friend Ty Ford would make great gifts. Heck, have you thought how great it might be to be able to buy gift certificates for individual services or classes? Gift your friends or yourself with a session with me.  Just ask and we’ll make it happen.

I think every significant other out there should give their mate a gift certificate for a Reiki Class, there’s one every month except December, where you learn to heal yourself and others. Now that’s a gift that gives on giving!

‘Til next time.

  1. What do you say Rev. Martha! I’ll pose a question, let’s BLOG! In this world of divided thought – whether you are american and caucasian or have a different ethnic background and are not caucasian if we share love and support for each other why do we let our govenment create a wedge?

    1. We can do posts about anything. I’m so far behind I haven’t done it in a long time. Go ahead. I’m working on getting the newsletter out.
